Dr. Ayu's work with healing and intuition began early in life. She was a natural guide for her peers, who often sought her out for spiritual and emotional advice. Always a spiritual person, her journey continued when she stumbled across an Intro to Reiki Class. Dr. Ayu soon was certified in Levels I and II, and became a Certified Reiki Master in October 2000. She started a women's group in September 2000 working with meditation, relaxation, healing, aura/ energy work, crystals, and more. In March of 2001, she became an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist, and in November of 2001 she became a Registered Ultra Depth® Hypnotherapy Practitioner. (At the time of certification there were only 7 other registered practitioners in the USA, and approximately 19 in other countries.)In April/May 2002, Dr. Ayu traveled to Bali, Indonesia and Chiang Mai / Bangkok, Thailand to study Thai Massage and Nerve Touch Massage with Medicinal Herb Packs. While there, she also took trainings in Balinese Massage and Spa treatments. In September 2002, Dr. Ayu studied Life Between Lives Spiritual Regression with Dr. Michael Newton, PhD, author of Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls through the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists. In April and June 2003, Dr. Ayu studied Spirit Releasement and Deep Memory Process with Roger Woolger and Patricia Walsh. In 2004, Dr. Ayu took her Master Hypnotherapist training, Hypnotherapy Trainer Certification, and Life Between Lives Trainer Certification through the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists. In addition, she became a Certified Spiritual Consultant through the Americana Leadership College. In addition Dr. Ayu is a Certified Kinesis™ Practitioner, works with essential oils (training through Young Living, Member #377090 and Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education), and has facilitated a Native Drum Circle. She is currently studying to become a Doctor of Natural Health through Clayton College of Natural Health. In 2005, Dr. Ayu co-founded the International Association of Transpersonal Therapists & Physicians with Charisse Barksdale (CEO, Transpersonal Healing Concepts).
